Solar inverter technology is being pushed to the forefront as an alternative source of renewable energy. Balancing the trade-off between efficiency and cost is of critical importance to the wide spread adoption of this technology. In this webinar, MathWorks engineers will demonstrate how to model a photovoltaic system that includes the array, the power converters and inverter electronics, and typical loads. The demonstration will show how simulation can be used to perform design trade-offs and to develop and test control algorithms, including maximum power point tracking (MPPT). As a final step, code for the control algorithms will be automatically generated directly from the simulation model.
