The Constellation Toolbox is a set of MATLAB based utilities for the analysis and simulation of satellite constellations, including GPS, GLONASS, and user-defined constellations. Basic constellation visibility and interference problems are modeled. The toolbox provides GPS specific error models for Selective Availability, atmospheric delays, receiver errors, and GPS satellite errors. Also included is DGPS modeling capability. Simulated GPS data includes eudorange, carrier phase, and Doppler measurements which are used to obtain navigation solutions. Graphical output is provided with specialized functions for plotting data for satellite constellations. For quick implementation by users, a robust set of example programs solve many problems with only minor modifications.
Advanced modeling features include an oblate Earth formulation for Earth blockage for inter- and intra-constellation analysis. It is easy to update GPS and GLONASS constellation information using YUMA formatted almanacs. Utilities are provided for saving user constellation information in the same YUMA format. A Graphical User Interface with the capability of generating, saving, and loading scenario data is integrated with the package. All of the functions have integrated input and output variables and are highly vectorized.
